Refund Policy

Overview

Session Services acts as an authorised ticketing agent on behalf of event promoters ("Event Partners"). When you purchase a ticket through Session Services, your contract of sale is with the Event Partner, not Session Services.

This policy outlines when refunds may be available for tickets purchased through the Session Services platform.

Service Fees

All ticket purchases include a booking fee, transaction fee, and delivery fee (if SMS delivery is selected), collectively referred to as "Service Fees." Service Fees are charges for services provided by Session Services at the time of booking and are non-refundable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

Event Cancellation

If an event is cancelled and not rescheduled, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket face value. Service Fees are non-refundable.

Session Services will notify affected ticket holders by email and process refunds to the original payment method.

Event Rescheduled

If an event is rescheduled to a new date, your ticket will remain valid for the new date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled event, you may request a refund of the ticket face value by contacting Session Services before the rescheduled event date. Service Fees are non-refundable.

Significant Change to Event

If an event is materially altered (for example, a significant change in headline artist or venue), you may request a refund of the ticket face value by contacting Session Services before the event date. Whether a change is material will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Service Fees are non-refundable.

Change of Mind

Tickets are generally not refundable for change of mind, incorrect purchases, or a change in your ability to attend the event. Tickets provide a right of admission to a specific event on a specific date and are exempt from the cooling-off period that applies to certain consumer purchases under Australian Consumer Law.

Refused Entry

If you are refused entry to an event for reasons within your control (for example, failure to comply with the venue's conditions of entry, insufficient identification, or intoxication), you are not entitled to a refund.

If you believe you were unreasonably refused entry, you should contact the Event Partner directly. Session Services may, at the Event Partner's direction, facilitate a refund.

How to Request a Refund

To submit a refund request, email us at support@session.services with the following details:

  • The registered email address against the booking
  • The reason for your request
  • Any supporting documentation

Your request will not be considered without the above information. Submission does not imply approval and we are unable to guarantee your request will be successful.

We will respond as quickly as possible. If you do not hear back from us prior to your event, you may wish to make other arrangements. Refund requests are unlikely to be considered after the event has taken place.

Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

If you haven't received an expected refund after this period, check with your bank or card provider first, as processing times vary. If you still need assistance, contact us at support@session.services.

Chargebacks

If you have a concern about a transaction, please contact Session Services before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card provider. We will work with you and the Event Partner to resolve the matter. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may delay resolution and may result in the cancellation of your ticket(s).

Liability for Other Losses

Personal arrangements and expenditure, including travel, accommodation, hospitality and other costs arranged by you, are at your own risk. Neither Session Services nor the relevant Event Partner shall be responsible or liable for any wasted or unrecoverable costs in relation to such arrangements, even if caused as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or alteration of an event. You may wish to explore options for event cancellation insurance.

Neither Session Services nor any relevant Event Partner shall be responsible or liable for any loss of enjoyment, including where an event has been cancelled, rescheduled or altered.

Neither Session Services nor any relevant Event Partner will be responsible for any personal property taken into the event.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
